Darrell Issa, the idiot Congressman who bankrolled the recall, announced today, with tears in his eyes, that he was dropping out. It couldn’t happen to a nicer SOB. I’m not a Davis supporter, but that moron Issa spent $1.7 million (supposedly) of his own money to force a recall vote that will burdon the already bankrupt state with an additional $35 million or more. And for what? What good will come of this? Issa got what he had coming to him, or at least a small taste of what he has coming to him. Californians are the real losers here, though, and we won’t pay until Oct. 8. when the people that voted for this silly recall will have to ask themselves whether it was all worth it.
